New slideshow: Not very happy with the program I bought

Tried out a new slideshow maker for my recent work.   Wasn't happy with the limitations of the program.  Can't get music to sync with the length of the show.  Music will loop when you would rather have it fade and stop.

  1. Hey Kevin,
If the music is your worst problem today... :) I really enjoyed the show and the music. It's so good, the looping issue didn't bother me a whit. I'm sure you'll get it to do what you'd like soon, or ask a computer whiz high school kid to fix it! Your daughter, perhaps!
    Have a good week, Kevin.
    Sincerely,
    Gary.

  2. Kevin, I agree with Gary, it is about the work and the little quirks do not bother me. I have used a program called Picasa and have done many slideshows with it. Take a look at it you may find that it fits your needs.

    1. Thanks, Jim. By no stretch of the imagination am I a perfectionist, but I do strive to make a good impression when it comes to my work. So it did bother me when I wasn't able to do what I wanted with the slideshow. I enjoy making these because when I look back I can be reminded of what worked and what needs improvement. I was disappointed that I purchased a program that limited what I can do.
All that aside, I always appreciate the comments and the advice. I'll try the Picassa.

  3. The first time I tried to watch this, it didn't load so I'm just now trying again - this time, worked fine! Love seeing the WIP and then the finished painting - more of those, please!!! Also, after struggling with perspective for a few weeks in drawing class, I can see when it's right. Guess you learned that stuff and got your foundation right - me, I'm just trying to tell myself I'm too spatially challenged to draw or paint anything that is man-made! ha ha

    1. I re-posted this video after changing the link. It should load better now and give you the option of watching it on YouTube. Believe me, I am still struggling with perspective. especially when the vanishing points are out of the frame. I don't always have the patience to sit down and figure out every angle. If I took more time, I would put my workspace on a larger surface and work out the lines or measure it to scale. It would make it so much easier than trying to line up the reference photo with the painting.
